These Azure Kingfishers can be found in many areas of Victoria near waterfalls, waterways and rivers. They mainly eat insects and small reptiles. They love to perch high in a prominent position over the water and swoop down to retrieve their prey. Their magnificent plumage is quite spectacular. NEW WORK

"SHADES OF THE WHIPSTICK" - PASTEL. Bendigo has some magnificent forest areas, with unusual trees and plants in the region.
This painting is of our Whipstick Forest, showing some of the colours of this beautiful area, including many of the many different types of wattle species. In August the forest is in full bloom with Whirrakee Wattle. This is a large painting (same size and price as Ravenswood Sanctuary). Please phone or email me for more details.

"RAVENSWOOD SANCTUARY" - PASTEL This large painting is now available for sale - see Gallery section - Australian Landscape for more details on size and price. The area of Ravenswood is just a few kms south of where I live and one of my very favourite places, where the trees and rocks are just wonderful. I love this place.

COLOURS OF AUSTRALIA - Artist's Acrylic - 30"wide x 20" high. This painting was in response to the country on the way to Broken Hill in New South Wales. The gorgeous reds in the soil, the mirage in the distance, the smallish, stunted mallee type of trees and dead stumps etc. You can have a look in the Gallery section under Acrylic to check price and confirm size in mm.
There are more Australian landscapes on the way - so stay tuned for more work. (P.S. I have just noticed there are a couple of sunlight spots on the photo of this painting - they are on the photo only - not the painting).

Surf Fisherman

Surf Fisherman- watercolour. When the waves are lapping the shore, it is common to see these fishermen along the
beachfront down on the coastline of Victoria. This was near Torquay. A small watercolour - unframed - $160.00
